More Journals!

For those of you who are more "country" at heart, Liz has designed a set of journals covered in denim, with pockets and a mouth-watering array of embellishments. OMG! How to choose? Great news...there is no need to choose, you can sign up for BOTH classes. There will be a class offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so you should be able to work one or two into your schedule!!

Vintage-Looking Journals

Liz Lazo has done it again! 

She has created beautiful, unique vintage-looking journals for Cootie Coo Craziness this October. These two journals are made with a quilted fabric and are embellished with lace, photographs, button, ribbon, beads and bits of jewels. Participants in this class will have the opportunity to make both sizes of journals. What a great gift idea!!

August Make N Takes

Now how is this for a cute card for one of our August Make N Takes?? 

August Make N Takes will be held on Friday, August 1, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday, August 2, from 10:30am - 1:30pm. 

This card and one other card (yet to be determined) will be available for making. Pre-Registration is required as well as a $5.00 donation to Relay for Life!! Space is limited, so register early!!

Sneak Peek: Bracelets with Celeste Beck

Another Sneak Peek at upcoming CRAZINESS class offerings! OMG, Celeste Beck, of Goat Feather Studios, has agreed to teach another class at our October Craziness event! 

Get ready to take a step back in time (think the swinging 60s) as you have the opportunity to create TWO leather bracelets with engraved metal tags attached...no censorship...just imagine the fun you can have - ha!! The class will be held Friday morning, October 10, and is sure to be a smashing hit!! Better block out the entire 4 and a half days because you do not want to be left out of this CRAZINESS!!

There are three guest openings for July's Journal Jam -- The Painted Page with Terry.

Date: Sunday, July 20th
Time: 1:30 - 5 p.m.

We will use layers of acrylic paint to make a rich and varied background, do some outlining and use our masterpieces as the base for artful lettering.

Another Sneak Peek of upcoming Cootie Coo Craziness: Join Mixed Media Artist Sarah Whitmire for her Wabi-Sabi Beeswax project on Saturday afternoon, October 11, and create a unique work of art. Mark your calendars. October will be here before you know it!! Craziness is really going to ROCK this year!!

Sneak Peek: Charmed Necklaces at Cootie Coo Craziness

 Meet Celeste Beck and Merri McKenzie, sisters and soul mates, as well as the instructors for this smashing "Charmed Necklace" class that will be offered at Cootie Coo CRAZINESS. 

Mark your calendars. CRAZINESS will run from October 9 - 13; this class is in the morning on Saturday, October 11.

Make N Takes consist of making 2 cards and a $5.00 donation to Relay for Life will be asked of participants. Registration is still required and registration for the Make N Takes will close the THURSDAY before the Make N Takes (to avoid my having to make additional packets at the last moment).

Mixed Media Journal Jam: Tea Party at Cootie Coo

2 - 5 p.m.

In our first art journaling get-together, we'll get cozy with a tea or coffee-themed page.  Acrylic paints, collage, and India ink pens are some of the tools we'll use to create this lovely addition to our journals. The example is done in the 5 X 8 size Visual Journal.

Journals are not provided but the Strathmore journals may be purchased at a discount for the jam.

The group size is limited to 10 people. Registration is mandatory.

Art Journaling Fun

Everyone had a good  time using the fantastic Dylusion Spray Inks. Participants created original journal pages with the sprays -- using them with stencils, as paint and with the mix-and-match Dylusions stamp sets.

Make 'n Take Fun
