DECEMBER BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

UGLY SWEATER CHRISTMAS PARTY 

They are all happening on Wednesday, December 18^th, at 5:30pm at Tony and Al's Restaurant in Alachua. You do NOT want to miss all of the fun and excitement, especially if you have a birthday in December. 

Tony & Als will be donating 10% of the proceeds from the day to Relay for Life so if you can’t make it to the evening shenanigans, you can always go and eat during the day when there will be some peace and quiet. We will be recognizing the Coo family members who have birthdays in December and we will also be having our Coo Christmas party complete with an ugly sweater contest!! There will be prizes and giveaways as well as the drawings for the winners of our three chance drawing items. 

If you plan on attending, please let Sharon know so there will be a seat for you at the tables!! This will be an evening for the books and certainly one to remember.

Come get an early start on your holiday cards by spending a fun day at The Coo making 12 different Christmas cards AND feasting on pizza – yum!!!!!! Class size will be limited, but not the fun nor the pizza. All materials and supplies provided as well as pizza and beverages all for just $35. Ho Ho Ho!!! It should be a jolly good time!

Sharon is back with more G45 cards, so those of you who enjoy fussy cutting and beautiful papers are in for a treat. The newest collection, Lost in Paradise, will be used to create amazing cards that just may be hard to part with. Participants will receive FOUR packets and some fun embellishments to go along with the cards. Space is limited to 8 students per session, so register early if you want to join in the fun and excitement. Class fee is $30 (plus tax).

Participants have a choice of utilizing Graphic 45 paper OR various themed paper to create a standard A2 size (4.25” x 5.5”) mini book that can be used as either a journal, smash book or scrap book. An assortment of washi tape and other embellishments may be used to enhance the final product. The end result may be so amazing that it will be difficult to part with. All material and supplies provided. Class fee is $20.

Participants have the opportunity to select the colors for their baskets and make their baskets unique! This basket workshop is offered on Friday, August 2 and/or Saturday, August 3 and will begin promptly at 10:00am. All necessary materials and supplies will be provided. Class fee is $30.

SISTERHOOD OF SURVIVORS                       

1:00pm – 5:00pm   

This is something NEW at The Coo that will run through the summer and perhaps become a regular calendar activity. All cancer survivors (those who have won the battle and/or those who are still fighting) are invited to attend the second gathering of the Sisterhood of Survivors to celebrate creativity and life itself. There is no charge for this activity, but space is limited so please register early if you want to secure a spot! There will be a fun activity for this month and all materials, as well as light refreshments, will be provided. Call (386-454-8008) or message me if you are a survivor and would like to attend.

MAKING JOURNALS FOR GIFTS

Are you a creative person who likes to keep a supply of gifts on hand so you are never caught empty-handed? If so, “Making Journals for Gifts” might be just the class for you! Join Sharon for a fun and productive time of creating simple yet personalized journals that anyone would be thrilled to receive. An assortment of journals (both in size and design but all bound with a coil binding) will be available as projects and everyone should go home with an assortment of four or five journals.

BOOKBINDING WORKSHOP

Join Nadia Peattie for some bookbinding fun as she teaches yet another stitch the LONG stitch, to those loyal fans of hers. 

Workshop is being offered on Sunday, March 31, from 1:30pm – 5:00pm. Class fee is $35.
