New stamps have arrived!!!!

Just wanted to let everybody know that I have just gotten in MANY boxes of new stamps at the shop, including Stamps by Judith & Heather and Holly Berry Designs - whoop whoop! This is a perfect time to get stamps for the upcoming holidays...lots of fun stuff to choose from. Now if I could just find the time to play with my new toys, I would be soooooooo very happy! Wishing you all a glorious day and creative time to play!!!! Hugs!!!

I'm baaaaack!

After a long absence from my blog, I am finally back! Much chaos and many distractions have been done away with and it is time to focus on Cootie Coo Creations once again! An exciting Cootie Coo Craziness is being planned for October 10 - 14, 2013. Just wait until you see the amazing classes that are in the works and the creative people who will be leading them! Sarah Whitmire, a published mixed media artist from Alachua, will be teaching two classes (one mixed media, one painting) that are sure to fill up quickly!! Terry Peattie is going to blow you away with her mixed media projects, ATCs and metal mania works of art!! Donna Roskey is creating some exciting classes that will provide you with so many great tips and techniques as well as impressive projects!! Liz Lazo is working on some unbelievable one-of-a-kind projects that will inspire anyone who is the least bit drawn to shabby chic!! Louise Damon has so many mini albums up her sleeve you won't be able to decide which of her classes to take!! And I have lots of surprises lined up that guarantee to make this the biggest and best Craziness Weekend yet!! Imagine, four and a half days of crafting delight! Be sure to mark your calendars and save the dates! Keep checking back for details and sample class projects. Registration will begin the first week in September - whoop whoop! It is time for you to "Do the Coo"!

Interactive Stamping using Stamps by Judith

Use up to 10 different rubber stamps to create different scenes or designs. Learn masking and reverse masking techniques, as well as how to get the most out of your rubber stamps by using them in several different ways. Stamps by Judith are sooooo much fun to use.

December Calendar and Events

Please note that FREE Make N Takes will be done differently from now on since the crowd has outgrown the space in the shop! FREE Make N Takes will be offered on both the first Friday evening (5:00pm- 8:00pm) and the Saturday morning after the first Friday (10:30am -1:00pm) of the month. You may choose ONE of the two times to attend. I am still asking that people register so I can make sure to have enough supplies on hand AND I am asking for a $2 donation for Relay for Life from all those who choose to attend! We will continue to make one card and a tag.

On Saturday, December 8, I will be hosting a "Crafter's Exchange", which is a glorified term for an indoor Flea Market (specializing in crafting supplies and baked goods) at the shop, from 2:00pm- 5:00pm. Many of you have talked of having so many supplies that you do not use, so now is your chance to clean house and get some holiday cash!!

For a $2.00 donation to Relay for Life you can claim a spot or table, bring in the crafting supplies or baked goods that you wish to sell and have a fun afternoon!! All money you take in is yours (except for the $2 donation to Relay) and you can buy from other vendors, buy from the shop or walk out with your pockets bulging with $$$$$$$. Space is limited and the spaces will be designated on a first come-first serve basis!! EVERYONE is invited to come and hunt for bargains and enjoy the company of friends!!

Anniversary Party

Just a quick reminder to all those who will be in town over the Thanksgiving holiday. We are having a 4-year (Cootie Coo) anniversary party on Saturday, November 24, from 2:00 pm- 5:00 pm.

There will be food, free project activities, drawings for prizes and a special one-day sale, so please try to drop by and join in the festivities!

If I don't see you, have a glorious Thanksgiving and feast on!!!!!!

P.S. Get a start on your Christmas Cards and Tags at the card and tag class scheduled for November 25th at 2 p.m. Cost is only $22 and includes all supplies!

Christmas Cards & More

Participants will make 2 Christmas cards and 2 tags using various techniques and materials, including colored pencils, stickles and glossy accents. There will be several projects to choose from so there will be something appealing for everyone. Bag Lunch (12:00-1:00) is included.

Flip Book and Embellishments "Craziness" Classes

Friends Flip Book

Participants will make a flipbook (finished size 2.75” x 11”) for a special friend. Numerous embellishments and stamped sayings will be utilized. Warning: This project will be hard to part with! Bag Lunch (12:00-1:00) is included.

Creating Scrapbook Embellishments

Participants will have the opportunity to create numerous embellishments using a variety of materials that may be utilized on cards or in scrapbooks. Various themes and projects. FUN!!

Mermaids and More

 Impress your friends with this really fun mermaid card and sea-themed tag. Newbie crafters and seasoned veterans, come and learn or develop your skills while you create your own underwater seascape using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Distress Embossing Powders. Learn how to get the most out of your stamps by using them in different ways and transform a Pepsi can into a fun sailboat embellishment.
