Smash Book Jam

Have you ever wanted to put all of those photos and mementos in a book? Come and SMASH with Celeste. You will create a beautiful book of memories personalized for the occasion or person. Each month a new lesson is presented that covers such things as creating pockets for those mementos, fancy attachments, making a beautiful book cover, finishing the spine and other techniques just too numerous to list. This class just might be scrapbooking on Steroids! 

Smash Book Jam will be offered the third Wednesday of the month (January 18, 2017) from 10:00am – 1:00pm. The cost is $20 (each month) and most materials are supplied. You must bring your own photos and smash book.

Journal Jam

Terry Peattie conducts these monthly workshops, which currently consist of two groups (one group meets on the third Sunday, the other on the fourth Saturday of each month) with 10 members each. 

Each month a 2-page spread project is presented and taught involving various mixed media techniques. Those who are not regular members of the fixed groups are able to sign up to attend as a “guest” in the event that a regular member is unable to attend. 

Please contact either Sharon or Terry if you are interested in signing up to have your name added to attend (possibly) as a guest.

Altered Tape Dispenser

Join Terry Peattie on Saturday, January 14, from 1:30pm - 5:00pm, for a fun workshop in which you can create your very own, personalized altered tape dispenser. There will be a variety of embellishments available, plenty of metal-looking tape, and a brand new tape dispenser for you to work on! All that is required is a bit of patience...and the payment of the $27.00 class fee. All materials and supplies provided...now how great is that?!

With a square “cathead” base and a round top, this bowl shaped basket is perfect for serving chips or popcorn during the big game! The Super Bowl 2 – Shaker Cathead Basket class fee is $42.00, and is offered on either Friday, January 6, or Saturday, January 7. Class starts at 10:00am and may take until 3:30 or so. Seating is limited to SEVEN students.

Terry is once again offering her “Gotcha Covered”/Journal Covers . Participants have the option of bringing in their own journals (workshop fee $23) or obtaining a Strathmore Visual Journal (5.5” x 8”) from the shop (workshop fee $30). Terry will guide everyone through the process and provide an amazing assortment of embellishments and paper to work with. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of products and techniques. Fun for all! Seating limited to EIGHT.
